GhostNets Australia's (GNA) primary function is to find ways to stop ghost nets reaching Australian shores.
This data sharing agreement gives GNA the right to:
- Disseminate aggregated data and information through an online database and website to the general public to increase awareness of the issue.
- Publish aggregated data for the purpose of reporting trends, cumulative effort, and other metrics which do not require identification of individual records.
- Work with a third party on analysis, interpretation and distribution of the aggregated information if it supports efforts in reducing the ghost net issue both locally and globally.
GNA agrees that at any point that the aggregate data is published publicly, GNA will actively acknowledge either the collective indigenous ranger program or the individual groups involved in the collection of this data and information.
I/We agree to share our ghost net data through the GNA online database.
